Cam CC 2nd XI extended their lead at the top of GCCL division 7 as they overcame 2nd place Tetbury CC 2nd XI at The Memorial Ground on Saturday by 19 runs.
It was a day for the bowlers as Tetbury bowled Cam out for 140 with only skipper Adam Holloway 27 and Denis Booth 26 making an impact. After tea, Cam soon had Tetbury on the ropes at 33-4 with Lewis Baker (2-25) and Charlie Viney making early in roads to the Tetbury batting. Michael Baverstock showed true defiance with a gritty 54 but it was skipper Adam Holloway once again clearing up the tail to take match figures of 8-2-20-4.
Special mention to Charlie Viney who returned impressive figures of 8-4-7-2.
