Alex Ballard’s men came out on the wrong side of a rain affected reduced over match against Tetbury CC 1st XI at Everlands on Saturday, with the visitors winning by 6 wickets.
There was plenty of starts from the Cam batting line up with Ryan Malpass top scoring with 37 supported by Jake Dolbear (22), George Parrott (20), Sam Buck (18) and Alex Ballard (18). However, Cam never really got going against a spin dominant Tetbury attack making their way to 158/9 from their 35 overs.
It was perhaps in the field where the game was lost for Cam with too many catches going down as Tetbury eased their way to the target in the 30th over. Alex Atkinson was the stand out bowler with 2-24.
Next up is a trip to The Boundary Field to face Rockhampton on Saturday
