Adam Holloway’s men were defeated for the first time this season. Matthew Dicks top scored for the visitors with 65. Whilst the evergreen Charlie Viney returned outstanding figures for the second game running with 8-4-10-1.
Our batting never really got going with Sam Buck (34) and Ben Lane (31) getting in before losing their wickets. It was only a valiant Dane Hall (31*) effort who got Cam within a whisker on what was probably an unlikely victory with some lusty blows towards the flats. However, it was not to be as the visitors took the spoils by 3 runs.
Cam CC 2nd XI now turn their attentions to a visit to Oakridge CC this Saturday.
