On a sunny Saturday, the Cam 3rd team travelled to Quedgeley for what turned out to be an exciting match. Quedgeley & Hardwicke CC won the toss and elected to bat first.
Quedgeley & Hardwicke CC managed to put up a score of 140 for 6 in their 40 overs. Our bowlers put on a brilliant display to keep the runs in check. Vice-captain Alex Evans started off proceedings with the new ball, bowling 8 overs with 2 maidens and picking up 1 wicket for just 21 runs. Jason Brown also impressed, taking 1 wicket, and conceding only 23 runs in his 8 overs. The standout bowler was James Colborn, who took 2 crucial wickets for 22 runs in his 8 overs, making sure Quedgeley & Hardwicke didn’t run away with the score.

After losing an early wicket, Martin Booth stepped up and played a crucial innings of 39, anchoring the chase. Jason Brown, delivered an unbeaten 30, steering the team to victory with his calm and composed batting.
